The beach is a little further of a walk through hard to maneuver sand, so adding walkways in the future for wheelchair chair accessibility would be ideal. As someone with vision loss, I found the Riu Latino quite accessible. I am an advocate for accessibility and also new to travelling. While looking for accessibility barriers for ALL guests, especially those with disabilities. Frankly, I felt the Riu was very positive toward accessibility and ensuring their guests were safe and enjoying their stay. I was pleasantly surprised the room was extremely accessible and close to the elevators which made it easy for navigating. Customer service was impeccable for ALL guests no matter the disability or ability. The grounds were easy and safe to navigate. I enjoyed and appreciated the wide level paths while using my white cane. I was very fortunate to have a sighted guide but felt I could navigate alone and felt proud and safe. On another note, my partner has to have a gluten free diet which we felt anxious. Not with this Riu though. They bent over backward to ensure she was eating safe which was a delight for both of us. We would like to commend the buffet Chef Omar in particular for his caring and kindness throughout our stay. In short our stay was excellent, safe, enjoyable and ACCESSIBLE!!!
